A distinctive vintage Seiko 5 Automatic, reference 7S26-8760, featuring an attractive black dial with unusual gold-tone details. The highlight of this watch is undoubtedly the set of gold sunburst disc indices at 12, 6 and 9 o’clock. Their faceted, radiating finish catches the light beautifully and gives the dial a unique character. Gold-tone hands, Seiko logo and day-date surround complement the indices and contrast nicely against the black dial. The watch is powered by Seiko’s well-known 7S26 automatic movement. It is currently running nicely, and the day-date function works very well. The black dial has developed character over time, while the unusual gold sunburst indices remain particularly eye-catching. The original Seiko bracelet is still fitted and also shows normal signs of vintage use. Mechanically, the watch runs nicely and the day-date mechanism operates very well.
