Sculpture, violinista - 0 cm - Marble

Old statue of a Violinist by Aug. Moreau on a marble base Splendid antique sculpture depicting a young violinist in the act of playing. The sculpture bears the original plaque "Par Aug. Moreau" and fits perfectly within the French artistic production between the late 19th and early 20th century. The sculpture, in patinated regul o, is mounted on a circular base in veined green marble; this Art Nouveau sculpture has a notable decorative presence and represents a fine work of art. The details of the face, clothing, violin and bow attest to the mastery of the Belle Époque sculpture ateliers. Artist: Aug. Moreau Title: Violinist Material: Patinated regul o (bronze effect) Base: Veined green marble Origin: France Style: Art Nouveau – Belle Époque Era: Late 19th century / Early 20th century Dimensions: Total height: about 43 cm; Base diameter: about 16 cm Condition: Excellent overall state of preservation for this antique sculpture. The original patina is well preserved and shows only slight signs of time, compatible with the piece's age. The violin, the bow and the original identifying plaque are present. The marble base has a small age-related chip along the edge, very discreet and practically invisible when the statue is displayed. This chip does not compromise either the stability or the overall aesthetics of the work. See photos for visual description 40997208979967HL
