Todas las subastas / Varios / Sculpture, Gondola degli Innamorati - 23 cm - Murano glass - 2026
Entirely handmade in Murano, lampworked, this sculpture tells Venice and love in a single, delicate image of glass. The gondola, in glossy solid black glass, is hand-shaped with a long, tapered line. At the bow the distinctive ferro stands out, stylized with fine incisions that recall its famous “teeth”; at the stern the line ends in an elegant curl. In the center, two hearts of transparent red glass, applied hot, gently tilt toward each other, like two lovers during a gondola ride. When backlit, the red glows with warm orange hues. The gondola rests in balance on a crystal cube worked with the pulegoso technique: a dense pattern of air bubbles deliberately created in the glass, giving it a lively, tactile appearance, like lagoon water moved by the current. On this base, the gondola seems to float, suspended. Pulegoso is one of Murano glass’s historic techniques, made famous in the twentieth century and still greatly loved by collectors today for its unique character: no two bubble patterns are ever the same. A romantic and refined work, perfect as a gift for an anniversary, a wedding, or Valentine’s Day, or as a precious keepsake of Venice. Each sculpture is unique: the shape of the hearts, the pulegoso pattern, and the gondola details vary from piece to piece, a sign of its entirely artisanal craftsmanship. Details Object: Murano glass sculpture. Technique: solid glass worked by hand, hot applications, base in pulegoso glass. Dimensions: approximately 23 × 9 × 3.5 cm (length × height × depth). Colors: black, transparent red, crystal. The work comes with a certificate of originality, attesting to the artisanal Murano glass craftsmanship. Fast shipping, with careful and secure packaging.
