Sculpture, Art Deco ballerina – groen marmeren sokkel - 31.8 cm -

Elegant and particularly decorative bronze ballerina, rendered in a refined Art Deco style and mounted on a tall cylindrical green marble pedestal. The young dancer is depicted in a graceful ballet pose with outstretched arms. Especially the fine detailing of the face, the hairstyle, the ornate bodice and the fluttering tutu give the sculpture a lively and elegant appearance. The dark bronze patina contrasts beautifully with the richly veined green marble. On the bronze base lies the signature and a separately applied bronze mark/medallion. These details are clearly visible in the photos. The combination of the slender composition, the bronze, and the heavy marble pedestal makes this a striking decorative object that fits excellently in both a classic and modern interior. The piece has been photographed from all sides; the detail photos are part of the description and give a good impression of workmanship and condition.
