Sculpture, Art Deco ballerina – groen marmeren sokkel - 31.8 cm -

Elegant and unusually decorative bronze ballerina, executed in a refined Art Deco style and placed on a tall cylindrical pedestal of green marble. The young dancer is depicted in a graceful ballet pose with outstretched arms. Especially the fine detailing of the face, the hairstyle, the ornate bodice and the swooping tutu give the figure a lively and elegant appearance. The dark bronze patina contrasts beautifully with the richly veined green marble. On the bronze base is the signature and a separately applied bronze hallmark/medallion. These details are clearly shown in the photos. The combination of the slender composition, the bronze and the heavy marble pedestal makes this a striking decorative object that fits excellently in both a classical and modern interior. The object has been photographed from all sides; the detail photos are part of the description and give a good impression of workmanship and condition.
