Sculpture

An impressive sculpture in a classical, allegorical style. The winged female figure stands gracefully on one leg atop a decorated globe and carries a trumpet and a laurel wreath — ancient symbols of victory, fame, and triumph. The rich drapery of the garment, worked feathers, expressive stance, and dark patinated finish give this object a powerful, almost monumental presence. The sculpture rests on a fine black pedestal with a decorative gold-colored band. On the globe is visible the signature “Bazzias”, with numbering 7147; see the original detail photo for reference. Dimensions: Height: 65.5 cm Width: 39 cm Pickup is possible in Idar-Oberstein, Germany. Shippable with very careful protection of the prominent wings, trumpet, and laurel wreath.
