Screen/room divider - Softwood - Room divider, hand-painted

Discovered on the roadside in Fischerhude, that Lower Saxony artist village that has drawn artists like Otto Modersohn and Fritz Overbeck for more than a hundred years—a fitting find for such a special, Chagall-esque piece with an expressionist touch. Two-winged room divider (paravent) made from two historic doors of an old softwood wardrobe. The doors were set in a frame and probably painted with acrylic paint, perhaps also oil—each featuring a figure (woman or man) with a floral motif in vibrant blue, yellow, and red tones, in coloring reminiscent of Marc Chagall. Not a mass-produced item, not a reproduction—an individual piece. The lower part of each wing is a solid color (olive green / blue). Pine wood frame with hinges, fully functional as a room divider. Material: Acrylic on wood (historic cabinet doors), pine wood frame Condition: signs of age on the frame (scratches, see photos), painting in good original condition, uncleaned Dimensions: • Height: approx. 197 cm • Width per wing: approx. 45.5 cm • Total width when unfolded: approx. 92 cm
