FORD RS200 #3 – SPAIN RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP ON GRAVEL 1:32 scale replica of the spectacular Ford RS200 no. 3, driven by Carlos Sainz and Luis Moya in the Spain Rally Championship on Gravel. The Ford RS200 was one of the great icons of the Group B era. Developed by Ford to compete at the highest international level, it featured a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an advanced all-wheel drive transmission, with a mid-engine architecture that favored balance and sporting handling. The reproduced unit sports the characteristic Purolator white livery, associated with Carlos Sainz’s era with Ford. The model evokes the Madrid-born driver’s participation in the national gravel rallies in the late 1980s, before his international rise. Important: the Ford RS200 no. 3 with Luis Moya corresponds to the 1988 season, not 1987. In 1987, Sainz drove the RS200 with Antonio Boto as co-driver. This distinction is important for correctly identifying the model’s livery. Brand: Ford Model: RS200 Number: #3 Livery: Purolator Drivers: Carlos Sainz / Luis Moya Season: 1988 Championship: Spain Rally Championship on Gravel Category: Group B Scale: 1:32 Slot car manufacturer: Scalextric / Tecnitoys An attractive piece for collectors of Carlos Sainz, Ford, and Spanish rallying, especially for representing one of the most distinctive cars from the early career of the two-time world champion.
