An extraordinary and rare vintage Savinelli pipe from the legendary "Autograph" line—the absolute pinnacle of the famous Milanese brand's production. Each Autograph pipe is a unique piece of artisanal "jewelry," entirely freehand-carved to follow the natural grain of the finest briar. Crafted exclusively from "Extra Extra" quality briar blocks (the most prized plateau grade), Savinelli Autographs undergo a long curing process that ensures incredible lightness and impeccable smoking performance. This model stands out for its superb mixed finish: a deep, character-rich sandblast covers the shank and the sides of the bowl, while the front of the bowl has been intentionally left smooth to showcase a spectacular, tight straight grain. The shank bears the original, crisp, and legible stamps. It is fitted with its original ebonite stem, featuring the series' classic signature embossed in gold. Preserved in excellent overall condition and structurally flawless (no cracks, fissures, or repairs in the briar). The bowl retains the normal protective carbon cake from use, and the rim shows the classic darkening associated with lighting, despite having been smoked only a few times. The ebonite stem shows widespread dulling and surface oxidation (the shift to brown typical of vintage material exposed to light), which can easily be restored with a standard professional polish. A "High-Grade" piece worthy of a top-tier international collection, offering superb aesthetics, technical performance, and style. Shank (right side): 'SAVINELLI' above 'AUTOGRAPH' above 'ITALY'. To the left of the hallmarks, the grade number "3P" is visible. Dublin / Freehand semi-bent shape (asymmetrical lines hand-sculpted to follow the briar grain). Stunning deep sandblasting/rustication on the bowl, featuring a smooth flame-grain panel on the front face. This item is described in good faith and to the best of my knowledge. However, to avoid disputes, the pipe is sold on an "as-is" basis, in the condition shown in the photos.
