Near the window, cold light falls on the blue-gray wall. On the floor, paint traces recall the studio. The scene sits between rest and exhaustion. The chair, the light and the hanging hand gesture give the painting a very contemporary, slightly detached language. It echoes interior nudes by Balthus, without their ambiguity. An afternoon that seems to go on forever, where time stops in the white. Technique mixte : acrylic painting on pigment-ink print, matte varnish. The throughline is the silence of the rooms and the gazes. White interiors, windows, worn parquet floors and the city facades serve as a backdrop to figures who say nothing and leave it to the viewer to guess what comes next.
