In the same year, he was also listed among the top three most searched names on the Catawiki platform, another sign of the growing appreciation for his work. Technique: Resin and marble powder Measurements: H13 x L15 x P13 cm Condition: new Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed Edition: limited edition 100ex A simple, recognizable figure is transformed into something different. The teddy bear, a symbol of affection and protection, keeps its shape but loses its function: it is no longer something to touch or to live with lightly. The surface completely changes the perception of the work. What from afar appears familiar becomes distant up close, almost inaccessible. A direct contrast is thus created between what we know and what we see. The work plays precisely on this tension: on the one hand it attracts, on the other it distances. In this way, a childhood image is reinterpreted in a contemporary key, becoming something more complex and less reassuring. INSURED SHIPPING!
