Sansui AU-D5 + D-370 + T-60 with Sunbuck EQ-8000 graphic equalizer and remote — reviewed, new belts Sansui modular system from the early 80s, refurbished, clean and in perfect working order, plus a current graphic equalizer with Bluetooth, USB and remote control. The Sansui sound is warm, dynamic and very musical. All three Sansui units have matte black anodized aluminum fronts and a width of 430 mm. The equalizer shares the same width and stacks between the tuner and the cassette deck. Integrated amplifier Sansui AU-D5 Made in Japan by Sansui Electric Co., Ltd. Linear A & DD/DC technology. 65 W RMS per channel at 8 Ω, with less than 0.02% distortion. MM and MC phono stages. Tone controls with Super Bass and Presence, loudness and tone defeat. Two-motor transport, full logic, direct drive. Real-time digital counter. Dolby B and C. Cassettes Normal, High-CrO₂ and Metal. Dual Memory and auto program search. New belts. Sansui T-60 AM/FM tuner Made in Taiwan by Radio Corporation of Taiwan, under license from Sansui Electric Co., Ltd., Tokyo. Illuminated analog dial, precise signal and tuning indicators. FM Stereo / FM / AM selector and muting. Serial number: 520090300. Configured for 220 V. Sunbuck EQ-8000 equalizer (added modern unit, not period Sansui) 20-band stereo graphic equalizer (10 per channel), 32 Hz to 16 kHz, with ±12 dB boost/cut per band. 31-segment spectrum analyzer, with several color modes. Includes remote control. What it adds to the system: • Independent left and right channel equalization, finer than the AU-D5 tone controls. • Bluetooth (version 5.3/5.4 depending on unit) for the phone, without touching the vintage amp. • USB for flash drive (digital playback, includes 16-bit lossless formats). • Optical and coaxial digital inputs, in addition to analog RCA. • Real-time spectrum display. Connection to the Sansui: inserted into the AU-D5 tape loop (Tape 1 or Tape 2). The amp’s recording output goes into the EQ and the EQ’s output returns to the playback input. Thus it equalizes radio, cassette, phono or auxiliary, and the AU-D5 remains the amplifier. Bluetooth and USB are selected on the EQ itself and output through that same tape return. Separate power supply, 220 V. Condition Sansui refurbished, cleaned and serviced. Cassette deck belts just replaced. Tuning, playback, recording, tone controls and meters operational. Displays and LEDs are working. Aged but good-looking, with normal signs of use. The EQ-8000 works, with remote included. Includes AU-D5, D-370, T-60, Sunbuck EQ-8000, remote control for the equalizer and current interconnect cables (RCA).
