A late-18th-century pocket watch, circa 1780, made in Paris, featuring a painting of men in a square scene. Master watchmaker Sanchez, a name not among the best-known masters of the era (at least I wasn't aware of it; my apologies to experts if I’ve written anything inaccurate), but precisely for this reason extremely rare. Verge escapement, with an 800 silver case and enamel painting. You can notice an evident but well-executed restoration on the lower part of the enamel dial at the 6 o'clock position. Otherwise, the cosmetic condition is good. As for the mechanism, the watch runs well, but since I have not tested it over a long period, I would recommend a preventive cleaning and lubrication to optimize performance. The key is present but newer, not coeval with the era.
