Vintage S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 pocket lighter, made in France, featuring a finely textured geometric diamond guilloché pattern and 20-micron gold-plated finish. The lighter is marked on the base: S.T. Dupont PARIS MADE IN FRANCE 20µ The serial number 89869 is also visible on the base, together with the S.T. Dupont hallmark. The lighter has the characteristic compact rectangular Ligne 2 form, with the fine repeating diamond-pattern decoration covering the main surfaces and contrasting vertical ribbed detailing around the mechanism. The lighter measures approximately 47 × 35 × 13 mm. The seller states that the lighter produces the characteristic S.T. Dupont “cling” when the lid is opened. It is currently supplied without gas, so the lighter has not been presented as fully fuelled for the auction. The lighter is accompanied by its original S.T. Dupont presentation box in dark navy/blue fabric with gold S.T. Dupont branding. The box shows visible signs of age and storage wear, including some wear and fraying to the exterior fabric. The lighter itself is in good vintage condition, with small signs of age, surface marks and wear visible in the photographs. The decorative guilloché pattern remains clearly defined. A classic vintage French S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 with 20µ gold plating, distinctive geometric guilloché decoration and original presentation box.
