Dupont, belonging to its laureate historic Ligne 1 range in its most robust, heavy and coveted catalog variant: the BR (Standard Model), manufactured entirely in the firm’s official workshops in Faverges (France) throughout the 1970s. It has become the greatest symbol of distinction, power and sophistication in the executive circles of the late 20th century. This model stands out for its imposing classic rectangular design measuring 5.9 cm high, 3.5 cm wide and 1.4 cm thick. The chassis is presented in a solid, substantial construction of thick solid brass, coated with a magnificent pure silver plating of high jewelry quality, ornamented with the famous pattern “Diamond Head” (Pointe de Diamant / Diamonds’ Tips), an intricate guilloché engraving composed of small pyramidal facets in relief that create a sensational play of cold metallic reflections as light angles change.
