Exclusive Auction: Two Bottles of Ryoma Japanese Rum – Premium Editions of Handcrafted Japanese Rum for Exotic Spirit Collectors! A select lot consisting of two bottles of Ryoma (the iconic 7-year-old Japanese rum, made from 100% fresh sugarcane juice). Sourced from the historic Kikusui Shuzo Distillery on Shikoku Island (Kochi, Japan), the oldest sugarcane producer in the country. This Japanese agricole-style rum is made with freshly pressed sugarcane (not molasses), distilled in traditional pot stills, and aged for 7 years in American oak barrels, resulting in a unique profile that blends herbal freshness with subtle influences of sake and Japanese whisky. Standard 70cl bottles, 40% ABV, original labels intact, excellent liquid level, and impeccable condition – perfect for collectors of rare Asian rums, comparative tastings, or expanding a premium inventory. Star piece: Ryoma 7 Year Old Japanese Rum (double bottle) Pure Japanese agricole rum, with no added sugars, inspired by traditional techniques but with the unique terroir of Shikoku. Named in honor of Sakamoto Ryōma, the visionary samurai who spearheaded the modernization of Japan during the Meiji era. • Profile: Floral and sweet nose with notes of biscuity malt, fresh grass, vanilla, caramel, hints of sake, subtle soy, nutmeg, and creamy wood; creamy and buttery on the palate with banana, vanilla custard, lemon zest, caramel, pineapple, lime, and soft spices. Short to medium-sweet finish with lingering floral notes, toffee, and a slight iodine note reminiscent of the Japanese sea. • Style: Fresh, grassy, and aromatic like a Martinican agricole, but with a Japanese twist (sake/whiskey influence, herbal and vegetal, less oily than Caribbean rums). Divisive and fascinating: some adore it for its unique complexity, others see it as “not rum-like” due to its lightness and sake-like notes. • Award-winning and prized in specialized circles for its authenticity, purity, and rarity – ideal for sipping neat, on the rocks, or in delicate cocktails that highlight its freshness. Its price is rising in secondary markets due to its Japanese exclusivity. This duo of bottles offers double rarity: a 100% Japanese rum made from fresh sugarcane, family-produced since 1881 (with rum since the 2000s), representing innovation, tradition, and a bridge between the East and the world of rum. It is not mass-produced: it is artisanal heritage with the potential to be appreciated in collections of Asian rums and exotic agricoles. Bid on this great lot – liquid treasures from Japan in their purest form!
