This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter. This item is accompanied by Birmingham Assay Office, UK centre for Diamond, Gemstone & Perl reports, including stone-testing confirmation of spinel. It also comes with an XRF analysis report, confirming ancient repair. The XRF analyses performed demonstrate that the compositional profile of the metal is consistent with, and technically compatible with, documented metallic compositions of objects from the attributed historical period, thereby providing substantial material support for the object’s authenticity.
