Todas las subastas / Relojes de pared & de pulsera / Rolex - Oyster Precision - 6426 - Unisex - 1972
We propose an elegant Rolex Oyster Royal Precision, reference 6426, a vintage manual-wind timepiece characterized by classic proportions and a beautiful black dial with gold details. Reference 6426 belongs to Rolex's Oyster Precision family and is one of the quintessential expressions of the Maison's vintage watchmaking: Oyster steel case, manual-wind mechanical movement, and central hour, minute, and seconds hands. Historical examples of the reference are documented with a case of about 34 mm, screw-down back and crown, and acrylic glass. The most charming element of this specimen is undoubtedly the black dial, where the Rolex crown and the gold lettering “ROLEX / OYSTER / ROYAL” stand out, accompanied by the word “PRECISION” at the bottom. The applied gold indices and the coordinating hands create an elegant contrast with the dark background. The dial shows the normal signs and patina developed over the years, elements perfectly consistent with the vintage nature of the watch and clearly visible in high-resolution photographs. We have not attempted to hide scratches, patina, or other signs of time in the images: the photos are intended to represent the watch in the most transparent possible way. The Oyster steel case retains the characteristic shapes of the reference, with a smooth bezel, Rolex crown, and screw-down case back. It shows scratches, small marks, and signs of use compatible with the age of the watch, all documented photographically. The diameter is about 34 mm, crown excluded, a classic and extremely elegant size on the wrist. The ref. 6426 is indeed widely documented in this size. The watch is completed by an Oyster steel bracelet with a Rolex clasp, also showing the normal signs of use and aging visible in the photographs. The presence of the steel bracelet maintains the sporty-elegant aesthetic typical of vintage Oyster models. The movement is manual-wind mechanical. The watch has been fully serviced before sale: the movement has undergone a service and functional check and is ready to be worn. For the purchaser's added protection, we provide a 12-month store warranty on the movement. The watch is also delivered with a guarantee/authenticity certificate issued by our shop, accompanying the timepiece and attesting its authenticity following our checks. A particularly elegant vintage Rolex, characterized by the combination of a black dial, gold details, and the Oyster steel case. The manual winding and compact proportions fully reflect the character of Rolex watchmaking of the era, while the recently performed service, the authenticity certificate, and the 12-month movement warranty make it ready to enter a new collection.
