Estello aux Lavandes “Estello aux Lavandes” is a decorative ceramic composition consisting of 12 individual tiles (4 × 3), forming a work of approximately 45 × 60 cm when assembled. The tiles are delivered separately and are neither glued nor mounted on a support. Each tile is independent, giving the buyer complete freedom to choose their installation method. The artwork can be: - placed directly on a wall, with or without grout depending on the desired finish; - integrated into a backsplash or a wall decoration; - framed; - or fixed to the support of choice. Each tile is carefully protected in an individual sachet before being packed for transport to ensure optimal protection. Description of the work This original creation draws inspiration from European Art Nouveau aesthetics and pays homage to the softness of Provençal landscapes. At the center of the composition, a young woman holds a bouquet of lavender, a symbol of serenity, light, and Mediterranean tradition. Her peaceful gaze is surrounded by rich floral ornamentation with sinuous lines, characteristic of Art Nouveau. The shades of blue, ivory, lavender, and golden nuances form a harmonious palette evoking the fragrant fields of southern France. Informed by the major decorative movements of the late 19th century, this work offers a contemporary interpretation where botanical motifs, arabesques, and the circular composition emphasize timeless elegance. It will naturally find its place in a classic or contemporary interior, bringing a refined and Mediterranean atmosphere. Manufacture Each tile is individually produced in our workshop in France using a high-definition sublimation process on premium matte-finished ceramic. The pigments are transferred under high temperature and high pressure to achieve excellent detail, deep colors, and remarkable long-term stability. Creating a complete composition requires about four hours of work, including the decoration creation, color adjustments, file preparation, individual pressing of the twelve tiles, and quality control. To preserve color intensity over time, avoid prolonged exposure to direct UV rays and weather. Authenticity Each composition is made individually in our workshop and may be reproduced within the Riviera Tiles permanent collection. Due to the manufacturing process and the high-temperature pigment transfer, slight variations in shade, saturation, or texture may appear from one exemplar to another. These characteristics are inherent to the manufacturing process and attest to the unique nature of each creation. Authenticity & fabrication Each panel is manufactured individually in our workshop and may be produced again within the Riviera Tiles permanent collection. Because of the artisanal manufacturing process and high-temperature pigment transfer, slight variations in shade, saturation, texture, or finish may appear from one panel to another.
