Vintage British gentleman’s signet ring in 9 carat yellow gold, featuring a striking cannabis / marijuana leaf motif applied over a circular black stone, believed to be onyx. The ring has an elaborate openwork design to the shoulders and a decorative textured border surrounding the black stone. The inside of the shank bears a series of British hallmarks which appear to read: P&S – Sheffield rose – Crown – 375 – R The 375 hallmark indicates 9 carat gold. The crown is the traditional British gold mark, while the Sheffield assay mark and date letter R appear consistent with 1991. The sponsor/maker’s mark appears to read P&S.
