Richard, Jules Verascope Analogue camera

An fascinating, rare, and historically valuable antique stereoscopic camera: the Jules Richard Verascope, produced in France by the famous Jules Richard in Paris in the early 1910s. The lot presents in good vintage overall condition, with normal signs of use and storage consistent with the object's age of over a century, and it is complete with its original flexible shutter cord. Optics: The camera is equipped with its original paired stereoscopic Tessar-Zeiss lenses, 1:4.5 F=55 Bte E. Krauss, Paris. The lenses are structurally intact and free of deep scratches or mould; only a normal, widespread light vintage patina due to time is evident, entirely typical for a piece of this age. Front circular engravings with the Paris factory marks are sharp and perfectly legible. Mechanical: Functioning has been tested on a test bench. From a manual mechanical standpoint, the front arm for cocking operates following the guided arrow, and the aperture regulation levers slide correctly to the indicated values on the plate. Aesthetics: Good general vintage condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The solid rectangular brass-tone metal case preserves a beautiful antique visual impact, showing the classic signs of time and a magnificent superficial historical patina along the edges. The side-view finder is solid, and the corresponding viewfinder glass with the framing grid is perfectly intact, without threads or cracks. Tracked international shipping, fully insured and professionally ultra-protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
