An authentic gem of Italian ceramic art: Prestigious and elegant complete coffee service for 6 people, signed Richard Ginori (Doccia). The service comes from the prestigious Doccia Manifattura, as clearly attested by the green stamp visible in the photo ("GINORI - DOCCIA"). Based on the type of mark and the serial numbers impressed, the service is dated with good approximation to the period from the 1930s to the 1950s of the 20th century. It was a golden era for Italian design. The manufactory is of exceptional quality and stands out for the complexity and refinement of its decorations: The white porcelain is enriched by a sumptuous and detailed relief work. On all pieces – from cups to plates, from the coffee pot to the sugar bowl – intricate geometric weaves and stylized phytomorphic motifs are present, enhancing the purity of the porcelain. This tactile effect is one of the most sought-after characteristics by collectors. At the center of each piece stands an elegant colored decoration: a stylized green tendril supporting three pink geometric rosettes. This motif, in Liberty style or Art Deco, adds a delicate and distinctive touch of color. The entire service is hand-profiled with a thin edge in real gold. The gold is also present on handles and spouts, giving a warm sheen and an ultra-luxurious finish. The service is in excellent overall condition of conservation. It has been kept with great care and presents no breaks, chips, or restorations. As natural for an object of this age and use, it bears slight signs of time and wear.
