Revue Thommen - Airspeed Flyback Big Date Cronografo...

An aviator chronograph with a little extra: the Flyback. This Revue Thommen Airspeed ref. 16085 is an automatic Swiss chronograph with strong and explicit aeronautical inspiration: large, clearly legible Arabic numerals, silver dial, subdials at 3–6–9, tachymeter on the rim. But what sets it apart from traditional chronographs are two complications that catch the eye at first glance: The Big Date at 12 o'clock – It isn’t the simple date window found on standard chronographs: it’s a true Big Date implemented with a dedicated module, visible with two large-format digits on the dial. It’s the feature that makes this version instantly recognizable. The Flyback function – While the chronograph is running, just press the reset button to zero and restart the timing instantly, without stopping and starting anew. A complication beloved by pilots (from which the name derives) and rarely present in this price range. The heart: automatic movement J8151 – The movement is built on the proven Valjoux/ETA 7750 chronograph platform, one of the most robust and respected Swiss automatic calibers, enriched with the Big Date module. The finish can be admired through the transparent case back, where the rotor and movement in action are visible. Revue Thommen: a name, a history – A Swiss maison with a century-old tradition tied to flight instruments and measurement tools, a symbol of technical and niche watchmaking. A brand highly appreciated by aviation watch enthusiasts, still relatively little known to the general public: precisely for this reason its Flyback/Big Date chronographs prove to be surprisingly rare on the used market. Conditions: Watch in overall excellent aesthetic condition, with normal light signs of wear compatible with age. Dial very well preserved. Movement functioning. "NOTA IMPORTANTE: The chronograph requires service. The reset pusher at 4 o'clock does not correctly reset the chronograph hands. The other functions (timekeeping, big date, and start/stop) are operational. A service by a watchmaker is recommended"+ Details: Brand Revue Thommen Collection Airspeed Model Airspeed Flyback Big Date Reference 16085 (variant 16085.6) Movement Automatic, caliber Revue Thommen J8151 (base Valjoux/ETA 7750 + Big Date module) Functions Hours, minutes, small seconds, chronograph, Flyback function, Big Date at 12, tachymeter Case Stainless steel, diameter approx. 42 mm, lug width 22 mm Crystal Sapphire with anti-reflective coating Case back Transparent Water resistance 50 m / 5 ATM Dial Silver, large Arabic numerals, subdials at 3/6/9, orange chronograph hands Strap Brown leather with integrated Generic buckle (See photo) No box no papers.
