Raymond CAUCHETIER (1920–2021), The Eye of the Devil, Claude Chabrol.

A silver gelatine print produced in 2013 from the negative on high-quality baryta paper, mounted on an aluminium plate and framed. On two labels on the reverse: signed in pencil, titled, with copyright stamps. Dimensions: 23.6 x 19.7 in Produced in 2013 for the ‘Raymond Cauchetier’ exhibition at the Salon de la Photo, each print was produced under the supervision of Raymond Cauchetier and is of a quality suitable for collectors. Printer: Thomas Consani, then at the Central Dupon Image laboratory (now a printer at the Picto laboratory). Behind the railings of the town where the film was being shot, Claude Chabrol, with his usual humour, could not resist personifying the title of the film he was directing.
