The clean brushed dial and reliable ESA 9154 electronic movement make it a fantastic and highly wearable collector timepiece. History The Rado Marstron emerged during a transitional era in watchmaking, bridging the gap between traditional mechanical calibers and the quartz revolution. The model utilizes an electro-mechanical movement, specifically the ESA 9154 Dynotron, where a battery-powered transistor circuit drives a traditional mechanical balance wheel. This innovative technology allowed for the accuracy of electronic regulation while maintaining the familiar sweep and mechanics of a conventional balance. Today, these early Swiss electronic movements remain highly appealing to specific collectors who appreciate the bold aesthetics and technical experimentation of the 1970s.
