Prestige cup of palm wine cephalophore - Kuba - DR Congo (No reserve price)

This cup made from dark, hard wood, fairly heavy, represents a stylized face supporting a circular vessel used for rituals or to affirm the prestige of its owner, a dignitary or clan chief. Beautiful, gleaming patina on this piece with extremely fluid and simplified lines. Careful shipment in a tracked, insured parcel.
