Posacenere-Ciotola Vintage – Avventurina e Verde Sommerso...

Vintage Murano Glass: Snoozer/Tray Bowls – Aventurine and Deep Green (1950s/1960s) Refined ashtray / pocket-drawer decorative vintage bowl in heavy Murano artistic glass, an excellent example of Venetian craftsmanship from the mid-20th century (1950s/1960s). The piece is embellished with the famous aventurine work, featuring a dense cascade of copper/ gold flecks suspended within the glass that form a sparkling and elegant spiral inside the vitreous material. The outer body is made of dark glass (very intense deep green) creating a strong and elegant contrast with the metallic inclusions. When exposed to direct light or backlit, the piece reveals a wonderful and brilliant emerald green core. The form presents the classic four-lobed “pinched” line (clover/handkerchief shape), iconic of Venetian Mid-Century Modern design. The base is ground and manually flatened.
