Pierre Le Faguays - Sculpture

Very rare and beautifully crafted bronze sculpture by the French sculptor Pierre Le Faguays (1892-1962). High quality. Exceptionally fine chiselling and a very attractive patina. Period: about 1925. Depicted is a kneeling young woman with a contemplative expression. Beautifully stylized hairstyle, characteristic for the roaring twenties of the 20th century. Faintly readable signature on marble: Le Faguays (see fig., 1/21)
