VALERIANO WEYLER / MARQUES DE TENERIFE / 24 MARZO 1891", legend around "SE INAUGURARON 43'800 KMS. DEL FERRO-CARRIL DE MANILA". Boldly struck with well defined design features, this seldom encountered piece offers and an expressive portrait of the young monarch. The legends are crisp and clear with hints of tone in the protected areas. Close inspection reveals evidence of a past cleaning.
