PHILADELPHIA COLLEGE OF HOROLOGY ENGRAVED FRAMED SILVER PIECE BY C. CLARK JONES C. 1895-1915. An exceptional engraved sterling silver presentation plaque from the Philadelphia College of Horology, finely executed by engraver C. Clark Jones of Holland Patent, New York. The plaque features elaborate Victorian scrollwork, architectural imagery, and finely detailed script engraving demonstrating advanced horological engraving techniques of the period. The central scene depicts a classical allegorical female figure seated beside a monumental architectural structure, framed by deeply engraved scrollwork borders. Surrounding the composition are finely cut monograms and decorative flourishes, reflecting the high level of skill typical of advanced student or graduation plates produced by horological engraving schools in the late 19th to early 20th century. The plaque is housed in a later but complementary hardwood frame with velvet backing for display. Condition: Very good overall with light surface wear consistent with age.
