Very beautiful and complete antique smoking set by Petrus Regout & Co. Maastricht, manufactured in the first decades of the 20th century. The set consists of a large tray, ashtray, match holder and cigarette cup, executed in a decorative multi-colored floral decoration with red outlining. This smoking set is a splendid example of the earthenware with which Petrus Regout gained international fame. Not only interesting for collectors of Regout, Maastricht earthenware and antique smoking items, but also a decorative object that fits excellently within a classic, brocante, or Art Deco interior. Condition: Complete No chips No cracks No restorations The cigarette cup shows a few small cracks under the glaze. Given the age of over 100 years this is a minor sign of aging that does not detract from the appearance, rarity, and collectible value of the smoking set.
