Pastoe - Cees Braakman - Chest of drawers - Teak wood

Cees Braakman for Pastoe - "Made to Measure" Chest of Drawers (1960s) A beautiful and rare version of the iconic vintage chest of drawers, designed by Cees Braakman for UMS Pastoe (Utrecht) in the 1960s. This specific model is part of the highly sought-after and modular "Made to Measure" series. The cabinet is finished in warm teak veneer and features the original, distinctive rectangular black handles and a slim black metal base. A beautiful, recognizable detail are the typical wooden cross joints at the corners of the cabinet. Thanks to its compact size (width and height of only 61 and 62.5 cm), this low model is extremely rare and perfect as a sideboard, TV stand, or bedside cabinet. The furniture is in a nice, original vintage condition with light signs of use on the veneer (see close-up photos). Inside is the original square metal "PAS toe" label plate, which guarantees authenticity. Dimensions: Width: ca. 61 cm Height: ca. 62.5 cm (including legs) Depth: ca. 45 cm Good vintage condition – with light signs of use appropriate for its age Note: This lot must be collected.
