Pablo Soroya - Autumn Sky

AUTUMN SKY is an expansive, dramatic contemporary landscape capturing the intense interplay of seasonal light, atmosphere, and cloud motion. Executed with dynamic brushwork and rich impasto texture, the composition contrasts billowing, light-drenched clouds against churning storm ribbons and deep cerulean skies. Below, a silhouetted forest line catches the brilliant golden ochres of autumn, grounding the vastness of the sky with rich, warm focal points. At over a meter tall, this canvas opens a vast atmospheric window into a room. The dominant 80/20 sky-to-land proportion creates immediate scale, anchoring high-ceiling interiors and expanding compact living spaces. Designed specifically in an imposing 115 x 93 cm scale, this work delivers exceptional depth, color resonance, and theatrical presence for modern or classical interiors. Physical Texture and Reflected Light Painted from a photograph taken on the artist’s terrace, the work pairs fine color gradations with heavy, bold brushwork. The thick impasto creates increased surface area that catches light, forcing cloud highlights to reflect more light and appear whiter than flat paint allows. 3.
