Otto Piene (1928-2014) - Frühlingsherbst, ZERO

Artist: Otto Piene (co-founder of the international ZERO group) Title: "Spring Autumn" Year: 1990 Technique: Color offset on sturdy paper 2-fold signed, dated and hand-labeled Dimensions: about 86 cm x 60 cm Special feature Late work by Otto Piene; not numbered here. Doubly hand-signed & labeled: The sheet stands out due to a rare double signature: It is both classically pencil-signed and dated along the lower edge of the sheet ("Piene '90") and directly in the print motif hand-titled and labeled ("Spring Autumn (Piene) '90"). Motif: The large-format sheet takes up the motifs of organic forms and elemental forces (fire, smoke, natural cycles) typical of Piene's work in the 1980s/1990s. Format: At approximately 86 x 60 cm, rare — this is a particularly representative, large-format work. Condition: entirely print- and color-fresh. Both signatures perfect; slight denting below the pencil signature, nearly smooth; no mounting traces, edges nearly flawless. Photos are part of the condition description. Rare in this format. Shipping is securely packed.
