Auction description: Unique antique German tinplate toy stove – sheet steel & brass (ca. 1910-1930) Up for auction: a beautiful, characterful antique tin toy stove from the early 20th century (estimated period 1910-1930). This type of high-quality toy was produced at the renowned German toy regions (such as Nuremberg/Göppingen) by reputable tin toy manufacturers. Features and construction: The stove is made from robust sheet steel and is very nicely decorated with high-gloss brass elements. The corner profiles, the oven doors and the drawers at the bottom are all fully brass, creating a striking contrast with the dark housing. The stove stands on sleek, right-angled legs and is equipped with a distinctive, detachable black chimney pipe with brass rings. The top features two cooking rings with accompanying removable covers. Condition and restoration: This object has recently been cleaned with utmost care and lovingly refreshed. The brass has been beautifully polished to a bright shine, and the sheet steel has been as rust-free as possible and treated accordingly. The stove is therefore in an exceptionally neat and presentable state, ready to be displayed as a showpiece in a collection or interior. There are no direct factory stamps visible, but the construction and finish indicate the well-known German quality from the early toy history. The stove is supplied without a loose burner or pans. A rare, well-preserved piece of nostalgia and an absolute head-turner for antique toy collectors or enthusiasts of historical kitchen miniatures!
