ow available at auction from Second Vintage A quintessential 1970s Omega dress watch, this elegant De Ville pairs an exceptionally well-preserved champagne dial with a classic ultra-thin profile. Brand: Omega Model: De Ville Reference Number: 111.0107 Serial Number: 36594641 Movement: Manual wind, Omega Caliber 625, 17 jewels Dial: Champagne with crisp printed text and applied indices Case Size: 33 mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: Gold-plated (20 microns), stainless steel caseback Production Year: 1973 Condition: Good vintage condition. Timegrapher: -2-5s/day, performing remarkably well. Dial and Hands The champagne dial is exceptionally well-preserved and very clean, presenting no significant spotting or damage. Its printed text remains crisp and fully intact, complementing the clean and bright applied indices. Clean and highly legible, the black stick hands are straight and display no visible corrosion or paint loss. The contrast between the champagne background and the black accents provides a sharp and elegant visual presence. Case and Crystal The 33 mm gold-plated case exhibits honest vintage wear consistent with age, retaining well-defined lugs that emphasize its classic dress watch geometry. It shows moderate surface scratches and handling wear, alongside some wear and minor pitting visible on the exterior edge of the stainless steel caseback. The gold-tone crown features the Omega logo, and its knurling shows light wear while remaining fully functional. The flat acrylic crystal is clear, with no significant scratches, cracks, or crazing visible to disrupt the view of the dial. Movement Inside beats the manual wind Omega Caliber 625, a 17-jewel unadjusted movement. The caliber appears generally clean, with some minor surface marks and light oxidation visible on the plates, while the screw heads show minor signs of previous handling. The timegrapher records -2-5s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The movement plates bear the correct Omega Watch Co Swiss engravings alongside the matching serial number 36594641. Strap The watch is fitted with a period correct gold-tone mesh bracelet that suits the vintage dress aesthetic well. The bracelet shows normal signs of use and light wear to the plating, providing a comfortable fit on the wrist. It accommodates a maximum wrist size of 18 cm. Condition Good vintage condition. The exceptionally clean dial and hands contrast with the honest handling wear of the gold-plated case, which displays moderate surface scratches and minor pitting on the caseback edge. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly. Dimensions The case measures 33 mm in diameter (excluding the crown). Remarks This De Ville represents a classic and accessible vintage piece. Its exceptionally clean champagne dial with crisp black accents and reliable extra-thin movement make it a highly wearable dress watch with enduring appeal. History The Omega De Ville line was originally introduced in the 1960s as part of the Seamaster family before becoming its own standalone collection in 1967. Reference 111.0107 was introduced to Omega's international collection in 1972, characterized by a press-in caseback and an elegant profile. The watch is powered by the Omega Caliber 625, which was one of the brand's last extra-thin manual-winding movements produced before the widespread transition to quartz.
