Presented for auction by Second Vintage A well-preserved example of Omega's early electronic era, this sought-after Constellation features a striking vertically brushed silver dial, a vibrant red sweeping seconds hand, and the fascinating f300Hz tuning fork movement. Dial and Hands The exceptionally clean and well-preserved silver dial features striking vertical brushing that catches the light beautifully. Applied indices with black inserts and intact lume plots provide excellent legibility, complemented by a crisp silver-framed date window at the 3 o'clock position. A vibrant applied red Omega logo is positioned at 12 o'clock, matching the sweeping seconds hand. All printed text remains crisp and fully intact. The original baton hands feature black inserts and luminous material that shows appropriate age-related darkening. While the red seconds hand remains vibrant, some minor oxidation is visible on the metal surfaces of the hands under magnification. Case and Crystal The stainless steel case displays honest wear consistent with age, retaining good overall geometry. The brushed finish on the smooth bezel and lugs contrasts nicely with the polished case flanks, which show light scratches, minor dings, and age-related wear. The case edges remain generally well-defined, exhibiting some softening from use. On the reverse, the caseback features a very crisp Constellation observatory medallion with all stars clearly visible. The watch is fitted with a signed Omega crown that shows some wear and softening of the logo edges. A domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, remaining generally clear with minor surface scratches visible under certain lighting conditions. Movement Inside beats the Omega Caliber 1250, a 12-jewel unadjusted tuning fork electronic movement licensed under Bulova patents. The movement features copper-colored plates that show some minor spotting and discoloration consistent with age, along with some dirt and debris visible around the case edge where the caseback seats. The caliber is engraved with the matching serial number 32692983, and a battery is currently fitted to power the humming mechanism. Strap The timepiece is fitted with a black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching. The strap shows light wear and complements the silver dial attractively. Condition Good vintage condition. The dial remains in excellent, exceptionally clean condition with intact printing and vibrant accents. The stainless steel case and bezel present honest wear, including light scratches, minor dings, and slightly softened edges, while retaining a highly crisp caseback medallion. The original hands display appropriate age-related patina and minor oxidation. The movement plates exhibit minor spotting and discoloration. Dimensions The case measures 35 mm (excluding the crown).
