Olympia - Italy Centenary - Bicycle - Before 2000

Olympia Italia Centenario Vintage - Classic Racing Bicycle Columbus Campagnolo GENERAL DESCRIPTION Up for auction is a spectacular and iconic vintage racing bicycle Olympia Italia Centenario model (1893-1993), built to celebrate one hundred years of history of the renowned Italian brand. The high-quality steel frame is constructed with Columbus Gara tubes and is distinguished by its vivid tricolor livery shaded in metallic red, white and blue, enriched by the chromed mirror-finished front fork and rear fender, and completed with all logos, commemorative decals, and the Olympia engraving on the fork crown. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND VISIBLE COMPONENTS The bicycle is equipped with a prestigious vintage Campagnolo full groupset. The drivetrain includes a Campagnolo rear derailleur, Campagnolo front derailleur, shift levers mounted on the down tube, and a classic Campagnolo aluminum double-chainring crankset paired with vintage pedals and toeclips. The braking system relies on Campagnolo side-pull brake calipers operated by integrated/ergonomic levers on the handlebars. The cockpit features a classic aluminum handlebar stem with a racing bend wrapped in black tape, preserved in good condition. The saddle is a vintage anatomically shaped black model mounted on an aluminum seatpost. Completing the lot are a vintage pump attached to the frame, a bottle cage, and high-profile wheels with Rigida DP18 aluminum rims. CONDITION AND RECOMMENDED WORKS Being a vintage bicycle that has been out of use for some time, the overall frame is solid, complete, and very well preserved, but as an antique vehicle it requires a quick general service, lubrication, and inspection of fasteners and cables before road use. Aesthetically it remains in good condition with minor and normal signs of wear due to age, such as light surface marks or small scratches on the paint and decals. The saddle and finishes show a light, pleasant patina of age. A collectible piece of great historical value for Olympia brand enthusiasts. SHIPPING AND PACKING NOTES The lot will be packed with extreme care and shipped via tracked and insured courier. Note that, to ensure safer shipping and to reduce package volume, some parts of the bicycle may be disassembled, such as pedals, saddle, rims, and the handlebar turned.
