- Notarial manuscript by Olivier Aubert (Mons) on parchment

1650 or 1690. " We, Olivier Aubert and Christophe Laurent d'amours, make to all that more of these we who, for this, were personally required, i… called as Commis de Justice to the Comté of Demeurant de Cour of Mons appeared… personally Monsieur Pierre Es… priest And of a February September In the City of Comté…" Notarial handwriting probably from Mons (Hainaut), 5 parchment pages, mostly written on both sides in French. With 2 black wax seals. Format approx. 29 x 20.5 cm. The deed is issued in the name of Olivier Aubert and Christophe Laurent (or Christophe Laurent d'Amours), who act as official representatives or officers. Function (Zeit. 4): They emphasize that they were appointed as a “Commis de Justice” (justice commissioners / notarial clerks) for a county (“la Comté de…”). It is therefore a notarial act, for example a gift, a will, or a land sale involving the church or a priest. The town of Mons in Hainaut is evident; unfortunately the county (Comté) cannot be deciphered, dating possibly 1650 or perhaps 1690. Signed by Aubert.
