Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs No Reserve — Rare Matched Pair of Antique Tehran Rugs, Persia, circa 1900 Size: 6 ft 10 in x 4 ft 7 in (2.08 m x 1.4 m) Provenance: Collection of a late German collector Aghajan Nassimi A rare matched pair of antique Tehran rugs displaying the refined drawing and accomplished workshop production associated with Persia’s capital around the turn of the twentieth century. Pairs are considerably scarcer than individual rugs because both pieces had to remain together through generations of ownership and use. Their corresponding designs and dimensions make them especially effective on opposite sides of a room, beneath paired tables, or in adjoining spaces that require visual continuity. This piece combines urban Persian artistry, practical dimensions, and a matched presentation, making it one of the more distinctive offerings in the auction.
