Beautifully carved swordfish bill with a marine setting. The base and cracks in the swordfish bill filled with off white resin. Its a very impressive eye-catcher A master craftsman has intricately carved a marine motif of an octopus, three of swordfishs, and a turtle into this large Swordfish Tusk. The carving is of very high quality and has a lot of detail. Could be seen as a type of scrimshaw. Scrimshaw is the name given to engravings and carvings done in bone or ivory. Approximate Dimension including stand The tusk is 82 cm long DISCLAIMERS - Since it is a natural tusk, it might have some natural minimal cracks and crevices in the tusk. This is normal. Please refer to pictures. - Our tusks are cleaned professionally, but sometimes minor discolouration still occurs. This is natural and normal, and not something we can do a lot about.
