No Reserve - Exceptionally Large Antique Indian Carpet - Circa 1900

Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs No Reserve - Exceptionally Large Antique Indian Carpet - Circa 1900 Size: 19 ft x 14 ft 9 in (5.79 m x 4.5 m) Provenance: Collection of late notable London and New York dealer An exceptionally large antique Indian carpet measuring approximately 19 feet by 14 feet 9 inches. Its softly muted field is covered with an intricate repeating pattern, creating a rich visual texture without the dominance of a central medallion. The expansive allover design makes it especially effective beneath large furniture arrangements and in grand architectural settings. Carpets of this scale required a very large loom, substantial quantities of handspun wool, and the coordinated work of numerous skilled weavers over an extended period. Offered without reserve, it presents a remarkable opportunity to acquire a genuinely handwoven antique carpet of palace-like dimensions.
