This sale offers a set of works from the studio of a Belgian painter, gathered over time in line with his discoveries, his encounters and his affinities. The artists have often maintained a privileged link with primitive arts: sensitive to the strength of forms, to the simplicity of volumes and to the expressiveness of materials, they were among the first to look at these objects as something other than mere curiosities.
