Unique 100% handmade work. This is not a print. "Yellow Field" This work, an acrylic on canvas piece, centers on the figure of the cat. The piece does not seek naturalistic representation, but rather delves into symbolism and visual fluidity, where the choice of material and the application method are fundamental to the conceptual message. The key distinction of this work lies in the use of acrylic applied with the fluidity and transparencies characteristic of watercolor. This deliberate technical approach challenges preconceptions about the opacity and rigidity traditionally associated with acrylic. When diluted, it creates color layers that blend and overlay, allowing the canvas texture to emerge and the shapes to breathe. Conceptually, this fluidity reflects the nature of the cat itself: its agility, its adaptability, and its ability to move effortlessly between spaces. The blue that defines the feline is not solid, but a series of organic glazes that evoke water, air, and sky. The work belongs to a tradition of contemporary illustration that seeks to fuse clean-edged graphic design with the spontaneity of gesture. The stylized form and the rhythmic patterns of the flowers and the cat’s tail recall the aesthetics of Japanese woodblock prints (Ukiyo-e), where the balance of flat shapes and intricate details is crucial.
