Nightstand - Wood

Bulbous Dutch-style nightstand – Floral inlays and marquetry Elegant Dutch-style nightstand, characterized by the typical bulging and curved structure on the front and sides, enriched by a rich decoration in floral marquetry made with contrasting wood veneers. The shaped top features a refined central vase-shaped inlay, harmoniously echoed on the drawers and on the side panels with vegetal motifs of great ornamental effect. The structure comprises three drawers and an additional thinner upper drawer, all enriched by elegant chased bronze handles. The sinuous forms, combined with the quality of the inlays and the richness of the wood grain, recall the finest Dutch and Flemish decorative tradition reinterpreted according to the taste of fine 20th-century cabinetmaking. Particularly refined are the paw-shaped sculpted feet, which give movement and character to the whole, while the warm patina of the surfaces enhances the color depth of the woods used. A piece of high decorative value and excellent workmanship, ideal as a nightstand, a small bedroom chest, or an elegant furnishing accessory for classic interiors and antique collections. It preserves light signs of wear consistent with its age and use.
