Two silver gelatin prints by Nico Koster: - Corneille and his sculpture "Le chat volant" at the Cobra Museum in Amstelveen, 30.3 x 20.3 cm + Corneille at the lithography workshop of Piet Clemnt in Amsterdam, March 1996, 30.5 x 40.5 cm Very good condition. Atelier Corneilel stamps on the back. Painter born in Liège to Dutch parents, Guillaume Corneille (1922-2010), is one of the founding members of the Cobra group with Karel Appel, Constant, Dotremont, and Asger Jorn. In the early 1950s, Guillaume Corneille trained in printmaking at the Paris studio of S. W. Hayter, at the same time as Alechinsky. Over the years, Corneille gradually becomes, thanks to Michel Cassé, a great Master of color in lithography. His prints reach such a quality that they give the impression of seeing the stroke of pencil or brush right before you.
