Todas las subastas / Etnográfica / Nice Set of 3 Partially Rooted Spinosaurus Dinosaur Teeth...
Scientific name: Spinosaurus aegyptiacus - Partially Rooted Teeth - Set of 3 Location: Taouz, South Morocco Geological Formation: Ifezouane Fm - KemKem Red Sandstone Beds Age: Upper Cretaceous, Cenomanian stage ( 96 million years) Size: The biggest 8,9cm REF.: #J701 DESCRIPTION: Observations: Stunning large partially rooted teeth. They have some restorations along fractures they suffered during excavation. These restorations basically consist of filling the fractures. In this case, the roots are fully authentic and not composite. About restorations and filled fractures: This is a typical technique used by local excavators to restore teeth. It's not a professional technique, and it leaves much to be desired. The main restorations filled gaps have been carried out on the crown fractures. Anyway, they are an amazing good authentic example of the enormous dentition of this huge piscivorous dinosaur that reigned during the Cretaceous period in the ecosystems of what is now North Africa. All of our fossils come with a Certificate of Authenticity. Every week, the issued Certificates of Authenticity are updated in our database verification system on our website. If you find that your certificate has not yet been updated, please contact us and we will update it immediately. Display box not included.
