Sylvie, engravings by Marianne Clouzot, Paris: Marcel Lubineau, 1944, in-12 format, purple morocco leather, richly decorated with garlands on the front and back covers, smooth spine with ornamentation, author’s name and title gilded, patterned fabric lining, gilt edges. Binding, Folder, and Case by Franz. Copy no. 18/25, on Arches vellum, featuring an original drawing, a black-and-white suite on Japanese paper, and a suite with annotations on Arches paper of the etchings. Numerous initial letters and tailpieces wood-engraved by Gérard Angiolini. The spine of the slipcase is made of brown leather that is slightly sun-faded and stained; the edges of the slipcase show signs of rubbing and wear. Items may be picked up on Thursday, October 8, 2026, by appointment, in Paris’s 15th arrondissement (Metro: Pasteur).
