Neil Armstrong Signed Gemini VIII Photo - Grad

Scarce color NASA composite photograph documenting the historic Gemini VIII rendezvous and docking maneuvers with the Agena target vehicle on March 16, 1966. The display features four sequential images showing the spacecraft closing from 210 feet to just two feet apart prior to docking. Boldly signed by Neil Armstrong in blue marker. Gemini VIII marked the first successful docking of two spacecraft in Earth orbit, a milestone achieved by Neil Armstrong and David Scott. Following the docking, Armstrong skillfully recovered the spacecraft from a dangerous in-flight emergency, securing the mission's place as one of NASA's most significant early achievements.
