Natural sapphire – Rough crystals on matrix - 417.80 ct- 83.56 g

An extraordinary collectible with several clearly formed natural sapphire crystals that stand out prominently from the light matrix. The crystals display intense blue, violet, and indigo hues and create a strong contrast to the white as well as to the dark, glossy accompanying minerals. Particularly appealing is the partial translucency of the sapphire. When illuminated from the back, the crystals are traversed by a vivid blue and reveal their inner color zoning and structure. The visible crystal facets and the partly preserved natural crystal form give the piece a especially original character. The contrasting matrix with white patches, black to dark brown minerals, and individual golden-brown areas makes the entire piece visually very varied. In lapidary lore, sapphire is traditionally regarded as a stone of clarity, concentration, and inner calm. It is said to promote mental focus and a clear view of the essential. A characterful natural sapphire mineral slab in which especially the strong color, the visible crystals, and their impressive effect when backlit stand out.
